The epitome of the modern box-to-box midfielder, who can combine physicality and defensive aptitude with vision and attacking prowess, Gagliardini has been quick to shush the skeptics.
There is currently no doubt that the 20 million plus euros spent by Suning four months ago were totally worth the risk. In fact, everyone will agree that the ex-Atalanta man has been pivotal in turning Inter’s season around, contributing to their impress run of form since January.
Thus, it is no surprise that Pioli’s men have struggled in the past weeks, with the midfielder out injured. Though still recovering from said injury and consequently in doubt for the Derby on Saturday, Gaglio‘s presence is something the Interisti undoubtedly all hope for – he could be the decisive force needed to win the Derby della Madonnina.
